If you’ve been following me for some time, you know I’m not the number one fan of living in a rush. I try to postpone some of my plans because my nature is to try and live everything at once. And my experience showed me that it doesn’t end well.
Nevertheless, living in fear of experiencing new things is not my favorite posture either. When you repeat to yourself that “next year will be the year”, chances are that next year you will just postpone it again. And I know too many people who do this constantly. “Next year I’ll learn a new language”. “Next year I’ll apply for Erasmus”. “Next year I’ll take that trip”. And, when they realize, they finished their degree, started working, and opportunities to live some adventures go down.
No, I’m not saying fun is over when you finish your degree. I actually prefer to believe that the best years of my life are yet to come. But don’t miss the opportunities you have right now – and Erasmus is a unique opportunity. Of course, right now it’s a bit complicated to travel but apply for the next academic year. You have until the middle of January to do so. 🙂
